My first and oldest nephew recently married in a lovely outdoor ceremony in North Carolina. I got a nice fancy dress (original price, $108.00-purchased new at $17.88 clearance) new dress purse (naturally) but I had one big concern...
"What was I going to do about dress shoes?" Being a school teacher and attending a very casual church, I didn't have appropriate dress shoes to even remotely blend with the dress. Over and above the cost ($75.00 and up) I was worried about my thin shoe heels becoming mired on the beautiful resort's lawn and becoming ruined in the first wearing. So, what's a girl to do?
Enter my old stand by, thrift store shopping. I found 2 absolutely "perfect" pairs of dress shoes, one for the ceremony and one for the rehearsal dinner. Price for each pair, $3.00 - I did spring for an additional $3.00 per pair for new heel taps (the little back part on the end of the heel) to spiff the shoes up a bit. The shoes, just like the wedding, could not have been more perfect...
Hope you like them, this works for me!
You got a great deal! The shoes are cute, too!
