What is This?

I know it is a knife, but can anyone tell me anything about it?

I purchased it today at an antiques fair in Abingdon, Virginia. 

I love how ornate it is, and it was in my price range ($2.50) - I love it even more that it is cracked...kind of like me!

    this is a breakfast knife with ivory or ivory imitation handle. They have been very common in Great Britain and very similar, just with a pointed blade they have fish knifes. The sets includes usually forks with the same handles. For exemple you can see a set here:
